Same engine, not a reskin — both apps share the same OCR, editing, and export pipeline, so behavior is consistent across platforms rather than two apps that happen to look similar.
Today, moving between them is one-way: the iPad app can discover and import a Mac-authored session from a shared folder, as a one-time, read-only copy. It doesn't sync changes back, and it doesn't carry over recordings. Deeper interchangeability is actively being worked on, but isn't shipped yet — Ulana for iPad stands on its own regardless of whether you use the Mac app at all.
Requirements
Runs on iPad. Works with the iPad's own cameras out of the box — plug in a document camera, capture card, or Cam Link over USB-C for an external source. AI Chat connects to an Ollama server you point it at; there's no built-in cloud AI provider on iPad.
Ulana for iPad is still in development.
